Last Monday was my first day working inside the hospital. I was excited because I will be going back to my first love, Nursing. I have been away working on sales and marketing department for almost 3 years which helped me grow maturely and professionally but the happiness was never there. Moreover, I never regretted grabbing the opportunity working in a medical institution again. Why? This was the only job in my entire life that I never felt exhausted even if the salary was not as high as the one I once had.
If I were to give an advice for fresh graduates seeking job, I will tell them to try all the jobs that they may want to experience. At the end of the day, you will find the career that you would like to pursue without being bored or tired. It is not about the money you will earn for a living, it is all about how happy and satisfied you are with your profession.
If there will be one occupation that I would like to have for the rest of my life, it will be caring for patients. There are something about being contented and fulfilled every time my patient will say "thank you" for all the things that I have done for them. Most especially if they will be discharged in perfect condition after their stay in the hospital.
Seize every opportunity and work on your advantages. Each occupation is worth a try, if it fails then move to another. Before you reach your late 20's, it is time to decide and settle to what job you heart desires. We will never be forever young but all the moments that you will undergo will be worth your life's adventure. Have you decided? So what's your plan right now? Share your thoughts on the comment section. :)

So true that it is more than money when you are able to help other people. You have a good heart Sef! Good luck with your new job and God bless!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yesha. :)
DeleteI have to second you on that. I just resigned from a good -paying job, one of my reasons is that it would be best for the company to have someone who's passionate about the industry and the role more. My passion, though, is my children and my family, so I'm taking less demanding jobs that don't offer much career growth, but I get to be with my kids more.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I thought modeling was your first love. Pretty surprised that it's nursing.:)
Thanks for the compliment May. Good luck to your future endeavors too. :)
DeleteFollow your dreams may sound like a cliche..but in real life, going for what you really like is a must.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with you. :)
DeleteCongrats on your job! And we have like the same shoes (except for the buckle design). :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Can I see it, Justin? :)
Deletecongratualtion for your new job..well I guess, this is a good decision considering that nurses are very in demand again abroad :)
ReplyDeleteI am considering going outside of the country but for now, I would want to stay here in the Philippines. :)
DeleteI think for people who started out in their careers. It's experience first then money later. Some people get too distracted by the financial rewards that they lose a chance to learn new skills and be better.
ReplyDeleteYea. Most especially if you underemployed to a career that you do not want but provides high-paying job. :(
DeleteSo proud of you, Sef! :) Go get em!

Thanks love, Hershey. :)
DeleteIt's true and I agree. It's not really about the money but about how happy you are with the job that you are passionate about.
ReplyDeleteHi Nurse Sef! It's good you're finally with your love, Nursing! *Confetti showers* yey! I totally agree with you on this: "We will never be forever young but all the moments that you will undergo will be worth your life's adventure." So let's seize the moment!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love your pants. You gave me an idea what should I do with my old boring jeans.
