As a style blogger, what are the most effective topics to write about?

Style blogging has been my passion for 3 years now and I can say, it is one of the best hobbies I have so far. I can share whatever insights I have in mind in terms of styling oneself and more. I also consider the variety of posts that I am blogging so as it will not bore my readers. On my experiences, I just want to share some helpful tips on what are the best topics that you might want to write for your blog patrons.
1. Style Blogging. It is always my number one topic to write about. The main purpose of my blog is to share my outfit of the day posts and how I can carry myself wearing the clothes I am sporting. This post is to inspire others not to brag. One important point of this topic is to make it more engaging and encouraging. Have your readers realize that the get-ups you are wearing are wearable and can stand out. Also, do not forget to respond to comments or questions being asked on your feedback's box.
2. Grooming. If there are beauty reviews for girl bloggers, we have our own department too. Grooming (either moisturizer, hair wax, body wash, etc) reviews are needed for your readers to be inspired. It is not that you want to share all of your grooming regimens, you just want to help what are the products that might work or not. Most especially with your hair, if you have a lot of inquiries on how you are doing your hair, it will not hurt to create a post and walk them through.
3. Fitness Routine. Being in shape is hard. Fashion bloggers are always being criticized on how we look, if we are fit or not. Although, I have not created any exercise work-out posts, I think readers either male or female will be hooked up on how you can make your belly flat, how you can tone your arms and a lot more.
4. Runway shows or events. From time to time, it is best to update your readers on what are the latest ins and outs in fashion. Being a blogger is like being an advocate, you want to suggest looks that will fit awesomely not educating them. Another thing, present them some newly opened stores in which they may want to dig in. For sure, they will take a visit and will be eager to update their closets.
5. Style Templates. I have been running several episodes for my blog named Style Template Wednesday in which I am suggesting layouts that my readers might consider. Most of the time, I cannot do OOTD shoots because of my friends/photographers availability (we have jobs too). If I failed to have a photoshoot then I will make a way to giving out style inspirations through this.
So here you go! These are my 5 suggestions on how you can add spice to your blog instead of your everyday OOTD inspirations. You can also help me suggest what are the topics that might be helpful and I will make a way to put it on this list. Hope you will learn something today. :)

  1. Helpful tips! These work on the premise of writing about fashion though. I think that blogging is a medium to express your passions, and people who blog and need to look for what to write about need to do a bit of soul searching first. Just my opinion ;)

    1. I appreciated the comment, but I think it depends. As long as you can write based on what you feel or capable of writing, I think you are good to go.

  5. I want to learn fashion too, I want to post OOTD in my blog. It's just that I have to spend money too. You should try different poses so that it will not look redundant.

    1. Agreed. We are becoming aggressive to be attractive as well. One of the reasons why I created grooming and style posts to help my fellow lads in a way I can. :)

  17. These are very helpful. I too run a fashion and beauty blog and it's sometimes hard to think of unique ideas that will help your blog to gain readers. But luckily, I'm in the right path so I'm happy that I manage to have "loyal" readers.
