6 Ways on how to overcome depression.

There will always be a single point in our lives in which everything will not fall according to what we want it to happen. It sucks big time most especially if you are rooting for something so bad that the only option that is left is to bleed without it. I have been here to this kind of scenario recently and to spill the beans, it is all about a missed opportunity for the promotion I am wanting. Moving forward, I am now able to get hold of the entire situation already with the things that I think might help someone undergoing some form of loneliness or depression. If you want to know these 6 tips that are really effective to overcome being sad then let me share it to you.

1.Venting out your feelings to friends or loved ones. Saying what you feel no matter how bad it is will help you lessen the burden that you are holding right now. It is like carrying a heavy bag full of sand, as you release the tension inside of you, the lighter everything will become. What is best about doing this ( I can say the most effective way of getting over loneliness) is that they will be able to share their insights on the things that will be helpful to you, overcoming these obstacles in a faster note.
2. Challenge yourself. Just because it is a "no" for the first time or the event is not for you, it does not mean that everything will stop there. Move on, buddy. You deserve to grow and work it out. Improve your weaknesses and become the best that you can be out of that experience.
3. Work out. Based on the clinical studies, the more you go to the gym and sweat it out, the more your body will release Serotonins. These are happy hormones that will liven up your mood most especially when you are down. It is a win-win situation. You will get a hottah hottah body plus you are overly glad about it.
4. Meditate. Thinking has been a cofactor of being overly depressed. The more you think about bad things, the more you dwell on it. Based on my experience, a simple 20 to 30-minute yoga will freshen up a disturbed mind. This will enable you to think of good things and avoid being pessimistic about the scenarios that are already been finished.
5. Keeping a journal. If you are a type of person who abhors talking about your personal problems but loves writing about it, it is okay. As long as you can release the tensions that are building up inside of you, it is still healthy. In my own way, blogging has been my way of expression. I can sincerely write about the things that I am best and worst at. It relieves some of the stresses in me.
6. Lastly, I am not trying to be a saint but praying has been one of my best aids in life. There are things that you need to surrender to him. Although, some may take time, He will never fail you. Just believe everything will be okay, if you trust Him and for sure, it will be.

  2. Meditation might help for some but not for all. Some people can't stand the time alone and start thinking even more! I will suggest going overseas for a travel to see the world. The world's so much bigger + beautiful to be sad and depressed!

    1. I partially agreed on your stand but going overseas will make you overthink most especially, if you are someone who cannot afford it. Thanks though, I appreciate the comment. Will definitely try travelling, sooner or later!

  3. I've dealt with this on my own. I'm one of the lucky ones who got through this just on my own. Writing helps me. Now I'm dealing with a friend who's very depressed. I'm glad I'm helping him somehow.

  7. I love the 'Challenge yourself' part. I have been depressed so many times and that really helps. I challenge myself to face whatever the problem is because it will never go away if we are not brave enough to face all the challenges in life.
